What is FindMeABot?

FindMeABot is a Discord bot discovery platform. It lets server owners search and invite Discord bots, and gives bot developers a place to list their creations and reach new users.

Is FindMeABot free to use?

Yes. Browsing, voting, and listing your bot are all completely free. We offer optional paid promotions to give your bot extra visibility.

Which languages does FindMeABot support?

The platform is available in English, Arabic, and Japanese. Switch languages from the settings icon in the navigation bar.

How do I sign in?

Click Login in the top-right corner. You'll be taken to Discord's OAuth2 screen — approve the permissions and you'll be signed in automatically.

What permissions does FindMeABot request?

We request identify (read your username/avatar), email, guilds (see your server list), and guilds.join (to add you to the FindMeABot community server). We never read messages or manage your servers.

How do I update my profile picture or display name?

Your profile pulls directly from Discord. Update your Discord avatar or display name and it will sync on your next login.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Contact us through the support page and we will remove your data from the platform.

How long does the review process take?

Most listings are reviewed within 24–72 hours. Review times depend on current queue volume.

Why was my bot rejected?

Rejection reasons are shown on your bot's settings page. Common reasons include the bot being offline during review, a missing or unclear description, or a violation of the Bot Guidelines.

Can I resubmit after a rejection?

Yes. Fix the issues outlined in the rejection reason and resubmit from your bot's settings page.

Can I edit my listing after it's approved?

Yes. Open the bot's settings page and update any field. Some changes (like category) may trigger a brief re-review.

My bot was removed. What happened?

Bots are removed if they repeatedly go offline, violate our guidelines, or receive sustained user reports. You'll receive a notification with the reason.

Can I add co-owners to my bot listing?

Yes. In the bot settings page you can add other Discord user IDs as co-owners. Co-owners can edit the listing but cannot delete it or regenerate the API token.

How often can I vote?

Once every 24 hours per bot. The cooldown is rolling from your last vote timestamp, not from midnight UTC.

Do votes ever reset?

Monthly vote counts reset on the 1st of each month. All-time vote counts never reset.

Can developers vote for their own bots?

Technically yes, but vote manipulation (using alt accounts, bots, or other automated means) is against our rules and will result in a vote purge and listing suspension.

Where do I get an API token?

Go to your approved bot's settings page and click Generate Token under the API Token section.

Is there a rate limit on the API?

The public read endpoints (GET /api/bots, GET /api/developers) have a generous rate limit. The stats POST endpoint is limited to 1 request per minute per bot to prevent abuse.

Can I use the API to build my own bot directory?

No. Reselling or repackaging the FindMeABot API data to build a competing listing service is prohibited by our Terms of Service.
